CANON: Persona 4 Arena/Ultimax
NAME: Labrys
AGE: 13 (In robot years)
CANON: Persona 4 Arena/Ultimax
CANON HISTORY: Labrys on the Persona wiki.
CANON PERSONALITY:
Labrys is, at heart, a big softy who cares about everyone. Which is kind of ironic considering she was built to be a weapon. She's friendly and kind and compassionate and wants what's best for the people around around her. Or even just the dogs around her. And she's willing to use the abilities she was given to protect those people and that idea. We see this by how quickly she's willing to join up with the Shadow Operatives after she's rescued. She could ask to go out and see the world or take a break, but instead she's right back into the good fight.
Which isn't to say she's just some gung-ho hero. Well. She is a gung-ho hero? But not just that. The training and programming she went through when she was initially turned on have left a pretty deep mark on her psyche, especially the fact that she murdered the vast majority of her sisters (At first unwittingly, and then she was forced to) and the knowledge of everything they wanted to be but never will because of her. And she knows all of those things because their memories were downloaded into her after they were killed.
Such a healthy thing to do to your teenage girl-shaped weapon right? Ugh, scientists.
This has given her a deep-seated drive to go out and make the world a better place and see the world in her sister's place, since they will never be able to. But there's also the guilt of knowing that she's the reason that they'll never be able to. And the doubt, that maybe it was a fluke, and one of them should have been the one to survive instead of her.
That doubt and insecurity tends to lurk in the background of a lot of her thought processes, really. Is she good enough? Is she strong enough? Or, alternately, is she too strong? Do people see her as only a weapon? Is she just a tool they only care about for what she can do? Do they even care about her at all?
And it doesn't matter how many times she realizes that it isn't true, or how many times people flat out tell her, the worry still surfaces again and again in her thoughts throughout her story. Even when she's denying it, even when she seems to know it's not true, it's still there. In a lot of ways, it helps to power her determination, because part of her is constantly striving to prove that her anxiety is wrong. Is it healthy? Probably not, but she hasn't really had time to work on it yet!
Outside of the dramas of her past, Labrys comes off as a surprisingly 'alright' young woman. She's friendly, curious, a bit impulsive at times, and has a tendency to be a little bossy. She is fiercely loyal to the people she cares about and will defend them against whatever she sees as a danger, and is a decent, if not exactly great, judge of character.
But she's also quite naive about the world and the people in it. She constantly references the encyclopedia in her head trying to understand the behavior of the people around her, to make the things they say that she doesn't understand 'make sense', even if she can't. She tends to be a bit literal too, perhaps because of this. But as she learns she's getting better, just again, she hasn't had enough time to actually do that. A lot of her quirks come down to 'hasn't had enough time to learn', really. But she wants to.
In the end, in spite of being a weapon, Labrys is really just a kind young woman who happens to be a robot.
Oh, and she has an inexplicable Boston accent.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon (SHE'S A ROBOT!):
-- Labrys is a robot! With enhanced strength and agility and endurance and immunity to all those frail human ailments.
-- And she has a rocket pack hidden in her back that turns into an axe! A giant axe! Both of which can be concealed when she's not using them because...IDK exactly why but they're gone a lot! Hidden inside her probably since she's a robot
-- She has the memories of all the previous models from her line.
-- She can be plugged into computer networks and has an SD Card slot.
-- While fighting, Labrys has something of a 'soft enrage' going on. The longer she fights, the more the red lights on her axe turn on and the stronger she gets.
Persona
Labrys' persona is Ariadne. She is a mostly physical persona that weaves webs to strike at her opponents along with Labrys. I'm going to say she has access to the abilities from the P5 incarnation of Ariadne, just because her spells don't really have move names in Arena, if that's alright?
Beast Weaver - Colossal Physical damage to 1 foe, user is debuffed with Tarunda.
Miracle Punch - Medium Physical damage to 1 foe, high critical rate.
Attack Master - Auto - Automatic Tarukaja on user at start of battle.
Fortified Moxy - Auto - Increase critical rate on successful ambush.
Evade Phys - Auto - Triple evasion chance against Physical attacks.
Charge - Next physical attack inflict 2.5x damage.

AU HISTORY:
-- Older sister of Angela Aust (Aigis)
-- Has a degenerative disease that can't be cured but isn't killing her just yet. The 'Persona Wasting Disease'. You know the one.
-- Became sick when she was twelve.
-- It's not a secret but she doesn't talk about it.
-- Used it to get out of military school but her parents still were awful about it long enough that she ran away.
-- Ran away from home to stay with an aunt at 16. (Between sophomore and junior year of high school)
-- Lived in Boston after that.
-- Pretty noticeable accent now.
-- Bossy, overly involved type.
-- Not mean bossy just...takes charge, tells people what to do, thinks she's helping but she might not be type. Expects to be listened to!
-- She moved back to Recollé in January because her illness is finally starting to take a bit of a toll on her and she wants to try and reconnect with her sister while she can.
-- (Lots of guilt for leaving her behind oops.)
-- Poly-Sci major at Recollé University
-- An adrenaline junkie. Wants to do things and really LIVE before her illness finally catches up to her.
-- Tries to play it cool but is actually a big dork.
-- Was class president in high school at Recolle the year before before she ran away and then in Boston too.
-- Plays a lot of sports/Does a lot of training.
-- Has an apartment near the college. Is roommates with Yoko
(Permission has been granted for all characters mentioned in her AU.)
AU PERSONALITY:
Lillian isn't that much different from Labrys, really. The big noticeable changes are:
-- She's far less naive, simply because she grew up instead of being built and sleeping for her whole life.
-- Her illness has given her a stronger sense of her own mortality
-- And that mortality has left her with a bit of a reckless, thrill-seeking streak, as she tries to 'live as much as she can.'
-- She's less trusting than Labrys, most likely due to her AU parents and just the nature of having experienced people more.
-- She's less worried about who she's going to 'be' or how she's going to impact the world and more who she is right now and how she's going to live today.
-- Still kind of wants to change the world though.
